A man is shot to death during an apparent robbery
Everett Delano, a 49-year-old Navy veteran, was fatally shot on September 1, 1966, during a robbery at Sanborn's Garage in Andover, New Hampshire, where he worked as a gas station attendant. Delano was found by customers lying in a pool of blood with three gunshot wounds to the head. He was still alive when discovered but succumbed to his injuries the following day. Approximately $100 was stolen from the cash register, though a more substantial sum remained hidden nearby.
