Firefighters battled the blaze, and in the aftermath, a grim discovery was made on the third floor. The body of a Caucasian male, identified as 46-year-old Allen A. Pineau, was found amidst the charred remains.
Pineau, a resident of 199 Manchester Street, had perished in the inferno that authorities would soon deem suspicious.
