Shawn D. Zimmerman Jr., 19, a Black male from High Point, North Carolina, was found just after 12:30 a.m. on June 10, 2025, shot multiple times while sitting in a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 1000 block of Terrell Drive. First responders pronounced Shawn D. Zimmerman Jr., 19, dead at the scene, and detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit opened an investigation into what police called the city's first criminal homicide of 2025.
