On September 28, 2025, Jaxx High, 19, was found mortally wounded after a confrontation at a Wendy’s in the 700 block of South Highland Street in Memphis. According to police, men attempting to take him into custody confronted him outside the restaurant; he fired several shots toward them, then shot himself. He was transported to Regional One Health, where he was pronounced dead.
