On the morning of September 17, 2025, deputies responding to a 911 hang-up call arrived at a home on North Wingate Road in the Gantt community of Greenville County and found Catherine Knight Jones, 84, a female, White/Caucasian, and her husband, Webster Stanley Jones, 84, lying in their front yard with gunshot wounds.
