Ellen Dilling Jones, a 71-year-old White female, was found dead alongside 60-year-old Christopher Lee Bowman outside a home on Broom Road in Tuckasegee, North Carolina, after deputies were called around 1 p.m. on July 3, 2025. Responding Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputies discovered a firearm near the two and secured the scene while detectives began their investigation, quickly determining there was no broader threat to the public.
