On July 27, 2025, in Lima, Ohio, 15-year-old male Damian Johnson was brought to Mercy Health–St. Rita’s Medical Center by car around 5:50 p.m., unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was pronounced dead shortly afterward; an obituary later recorded his time of death as 6:03 p.m. and confirmed his age and name as Damian Clay Johnson. Police opened a homicide investigation and publicly identified the victim as Damian Johnson two days later.
