Kyle Rayshawn Means, 45, a male and Black/African American resident of Greensboro, was working an overnight security shift at a gaming business on the 1600 block of Phillips Avenue when gunfire shattered the quiet just after 12:45 a.m. on July 28, 2025. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found Kyle Rayshawn Means, 45, gravely wounded; he was rushed to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.
