Just before dawn on August 3, 2025, Orion Matthew Sanzeni, 34, a man from Greensboro, sought help from officers who were already tied up with an unrelated traffic crash at West Gate City Boulevard and South Chapman Street. He had been shot in the torso. He managed only a few words before collapsing; despite immediate lifesaving efforts, Orion Sanzeni, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene.
