On the evening of August 17, 2025, Wesley Wilson, 29, a male from Fayetteville, was shot on Chinoak Drive in the Reilly Road Mobile Home Park. Officers responding just after 7:30 p.m. found him with a gunshot wound; he was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Two other people were also discovered with gunshot wounds and were transported with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
