Ariela Mejia-Polanco, 33, female, Hispanic/Latina, was found around 8 a.m. on August 17, 2025, slumped behind the wheel of her car on the eastbound shoulder of the Cross County Parkway near the Broad Street exit in Mount Vernon, New York. The Westchester County Medical Examiner determined she died from gunshot wounds.
