On a summer morning, the life of Ariela Mejia-Polanco, a 33-year-old Dominican social media influencer, was cut tragically short. She was discovered deceased in her car on the Cross County Parkway in Mount Vernon, New York, on August 18, 2025. The cause of her death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds, leading authorities to immediately launch a homicide investigation.
