Death by Force

Daquan Monroe, 29, a Black man, was shot on the night of September 7, 2025, in Jamaica, Queens, behind a store at 134-29 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard, near the Rochdale Village complex and its tennis courts. Police from the 113th Precinct responded to a 911 call around 8:30 p.m. and found the 29-year-old with gunshot wounds to the neck and shoulder in a parking area behind the building. He was rushed by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
