On August 24, 2025, the quiet of a late-summer Sunday in Springfield, Missouri, broke when firefighters were called at 1:37 p.m. to a blaze at 3307 West Lombard Street. Inside the home they found three people with apparent gunshot wounds, including Jessica Parnell, 35, female.
