In the early morning hours of Friday, August 1, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the pre-dawn quiet at a gas station on Robinson Street in Jackson, Mississippi. When the sounds of the shots faded, 30-year-old Shawn L. Crenshaw, a male mechanic, lay fatally wounded in the parking lot, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police arrived before 5 a.m. to find Crenshaw, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
