On the evening of December 28, 2024, the life of 19-year-old Jadie Butterfly, a Native American woman, was tragically cut short. A promising student at the University of Montana where she was pursuing a future in healthcare, Jadie was an avid athlete and a cherished role model to her four younger siblings. That night, she was at her boyfriend's house in Browning, located on the Blackfeet Reservation, when a gunshot fatally wounded her.
