Michael Mills, 48, male, Black/African American, was shot and killed on July 19, 2025, on Detroit’s west side during a drive-by attack as he sat in a car with his son. The shooting unfolded around 9 p.m. on Dale Street near Telegraph and Davison. A passing vehicle pulled up and opened fire on their parked car; Mills was mortally wounded and his son, identified as Michael Mills Jr., was struck and survived.
