William Joseph Smith, age 25, a male who was Black / African American, was killed in Flint, Michigan, on July 27, 2025. In the predawn hours that Sunday, police were called to a large gathering near E. Pasadena Avenue and Industrial Avenue, where a feud between two groups erupted into gunfire. Amid the chaos, bystanders were struck and William Joseph Smith, age 25, was mortally wounded; multiple other people were rushed to hospitals in critical condition.
