In the summer of 2025, a violent act cut short the life of 33-year-old Thurmon Joseph in a New Orleans neighborhood. The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 29, in Algiers, a community across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter. Joseph, a male, sustained fatal injuries from gunfire.
