In the late hours of a Saturday night in Minneapolis, a dispute at a well-traveled intersection tragically escalated, ending the life of 36-year-old Adonis Qumar Meekins, a Black/African American male. On September 20, 2025, just before midnight, the sound of gunfire pierced the air near the corner of Chicago Avenue S. and E. Franklin Avenue. Shortly after the altercation, Meekins was transported to a local hospital, but the severity of his gunshot wounds proved fatal.
