On the night of May 24, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace on Franklin Hill Avenue in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood, leading to the tragic death of 66-year-old Black / African American male, Anthony McIntosh. Responding to a ShotSpotter activation at approximately 9:45 p.m., Boston police officers arrived at the scene to find a grim tableau. Two men were down, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
