On October 22, 2018, a tragic incident occurred in the Gassaway area of Gilmer County, West Virginia, resulting in the deaths of Fred Blanks, 76, and his wife, Patricia Blanks. The couple, who had been married for 50 years, were found deceased by their neighbors.
