A 41-year-old man, Demetrius Moore, was fatally shot in Largo, Maryland, on the afternoon of Friday, August 1, 2025. Prince George's County police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Harry S. Truman Drive at approximately 4:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Moore outside, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Homicide Unit of the Prince George's County Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and to identify any suspects involved in the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified. Remembered for his kind heart and generosity, he deeply loved his family. After graduating from Bladensburg Senior High School, he pursued his passion for food and graduated from culinary arts school in 2024. He is survived by his daughter, siblings, and other family members who will continue to cherish his memory.
