In the quiet suburban landscape of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, the life of 53-year-old Kermit Holland, a male resident, came to a violent and tragic end. On the night of December 15, 2017, concern turned to horror when Holland was discovered unresponsive inside the garage of his home on Vandiver Court. Patrol officers, responding to a call at approximately 10:50 p.m., made the grim discovery. Holland had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
