On the night of August 12, 2025, in New Orleans' Seventh Ward, Brent McDonald, a 37-year-old male, was caught in a burst of gunfire near the intersection of Allen Street and North Dorgenois around 9:15–9:20 p.m. Police found one victim at the scene and learned two more had been driven to a hospital by private vehicle; two people did not survive.
