In the gray light of dawn on June 16, 2025, Angelo Smith, 51, a male, stood near the sidewalk in Chicago's West Pullman neighborhood when two cars rolled up along the 11500 block of South Prairie Avenue. From inside both vehicles, gunfire erupted. Struck by rounds, including a wound to the leg, Angelo Smith was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.
