Rudolph Anthony Lopez, 68, a Latino male, was shot to death in the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of East Harding Street in Long Beach before dawn on Thursday, May 29, 2025. Officers were dispatched at about 5:15–5:17 a.m. and found him with gunshot wounds to the upper body; fire personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later listed the manner of death as homicide and the cause as gunshot wounds to the head.
