John Berg, a male victim, was murdered on November 26, 1956, in Long Beach, California. His death was one of two homicides committed by Stephen A. Nash, who was later convicted of first-degree murder. Nash, a 33-year-old man with no fixed residence, was found guilty of killing both John Berg and Lawrence Rice. The jury sentenced Nash to death for both murders.
