Jimiah Lambert, a Black male, age 31, was found shot to death in the early morning darkness of Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the intersection where Chef Menteur Highway meets Downman Road in New Orleans East. Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 a.m., and emergency responders pronounced Jimiah Lambert, 31, male, dead at the scene.
