On the evening of September 13, 2025, a tragic event unfolded at the Sycamore Apartments on Sycamore Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, leading to the death of 27-year-old Jaray Washington. Mr. Washington, a male resident of Baton Rouge, attempted to de-escalate a heated argument when he was fatally shot.
