Darius Kavalyauskas, a 24-year-old Lithuanian immigrant, was found dead on August 4, 1995, in Lake Mead near Las Vegas. His decomposing body was discovered floating face down about 15 feet from the shoreline. The Clark County Coroner determined that his death resulted from asphyxia caused by forced drowning, making his death a homicide.
