Joel Sanchez, a 31-year-old man, was fatally shot on August 2, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred in a late-night shooting in an alley near the Las Vegas Strip, leaving Sanchez dead and another individual wounded. Authorities quickly launched an investigation into the shooting, which was one of several gun-related homicides in the city that year. Family members and friends created a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses, mourning the sudden and tragic loss of Sanchez.
