Jamie Arnold, 36, was shot just before dawn on April 7, 2019, in the parking lot of the Shelter Island Apartments at 3770 Swenson Street after walking back from a nearby 7-Eleven. Officers found him gravely wounded around 5:49 a.m., and he was rushed to Sunrise Hospital. Four days later—on Thursday, April 11—he was pronounced brain dead, and the Clark County coroner ruled his death a homicide.
