In a quiet Marietta, Georgia, neighborhood, the life of 38-year-old Daphne Duplessis Saddler, a woman of Haitian heritage, was tragically cut short in what authorities have described as a murder-suicide. On the morning of Saturday, June 7, 2025, Cobb County police responded to a call about a person down at a residence on Research Drive. Upon entering the home, officers discovered the bodies of Saddler and a man later identified as 44-year-old Samuel Mills. Both individuals had sustained apparent gunshot wounds.
