On the evening of June 27, 2025, Dajion Hunter, age 34 and male, was shot inside the underground parking structure at 5419 Paramount Boulevard in Long Beach. Calls reporting gunfire came in just before 8 p.m.; arriving officers and bystanders tried to help, but Dajion Hunter, age 34 and male, was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds to his upper body.
