Amanda Dubois, a 38-year-old woman from Terre Haute, was shot in the middle of the day on July 10, 2025, while seated in a vehicle outside the Kroger South on U.S. 41. Deputies were called around 12:30 p.m.; when they arrived, they found her fatally wounded and a man critically injured in the same car.
