On the evening of July 2, 2025, 18-year-old Qwamaine Lewis, a Black male from Warner Robins, was shot once outside the Houston Commons II shopping center on South Houston Lake Road. Officers responded around 7:46 p.m. and found Qwamaine Lewis, 18, wounded; he was rushed to a hospital and later died during emergency surgery just before 1 a.m. on July 3 at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon.
