On the evening of Friday, March 28, 2025, in Warner Robins, Georgia, 21-year-old Shaquez Head, a Black or African American male, was shot in the head. The incident took place just before 6 p.m. in the 100 block of Buford Drive. Emergency services rushed Head to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
The Warner Robins Police Department quickly began an investigation into the shooting. Shortly after the incident, authorities arrested 22-year-old Nicholas Jenkins in connection with the crime. Police determined that Jenkins had arrived at the scene, shot Head, and then fled. Another individual who was with Jenkins was also taken into custody but was later released after it was determined they had no prior knowledge of the shooting.
Following Head's death, the investigation was upgraded to a homicide. Nicholas Jenkins has been charged with homicide, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. While an arrest has been made, the police have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shooting.
