Nurrie Foy, 28, male, Black/African American, died on August 21, 2025, after he was shot on Chicago’s West Side. Around 10:09–10:10 p.m., he and another man were standing outside in the 300 block of South Maplewood Avenue when someone walked up and opened fire. Foy was struck in the left and right flank, taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner identified him, and police described the shooter as a male who approached on foot.
