Elvis Alfonso Mojica Delgado, a 28-year-old male of Hispanic/Latino descent, was discovered just after midnight on July 11, 2025, lying unresponsive on the bicycle path along the Santa Ana Riverbed Trail near the 2100 block of West 17th Street. Responding Santa Ana police officers had been dispatched at approximately 12:03 a.m. to a report of a man down; when they arrived, they found Mojica Delgado suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
