Cedrick Hicks, a 33-year-old male, Black / African American, was shot and killed in the early morning hours of August 31, 2025, inside a home on the 6300 block of South Elizabeth Street in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. Police said the shooting happened around 2:50 a.m. during an argument with someone he knew, and Cedrick Hicks, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.
