In the Sylvan Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, a strip mall on Lakewood Avenue SW became a scene of violence on the evening of Friday, August 1, 2025. Henry Evans, a 52-year-old male, was fatally shot in an incident that has left the community searching for answers. Atlanta police responded to reports of a man shot around 5:52 p.m. and discovered Evans at the scene with a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the location.
