Henry Evans, 52, a Black male, was shot and killed on the evening of July 25, 2025, in southwest Atlanta. Officers were dispatched just before 6 p.m. to the shopping center at 2883 Lakewood Avenue SW in the Sylvan Hills neighborhood, where they found a 52-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
