On a Sunday morning in Indianapolis, what began as a report of gunfire rapidly evolved into a homicide investigation that left a young man dead. In the late morning of September 28, 2025, shots were fired in the 5000 block of Southeastern Avenue, near the intersection with Emerson Avenue.
