On the evening of July 19, 2025, Vladimir Fedun, 57, male, was shot multiple times outside a home on the 6500 block of Thalia Way in Citrus Heights, California. Officers arrived just before 9:30 p.m. and moved him from the immediate area in an effort to render aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The killing was described as an isolated incident and, at that point in the year, the city's second homicide.
