On the evening of July 21, 2025, 33-year-old man Kuvar Kumar was gunned down as he arrived home in northwest Fresno, near North State Street and West Acacia Avenue. Officers responding around 6:50–6:52 p.m. found 33-year-old Kuvar Kumar suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives said the ambush happened as 33-year-old Kuvar Kumar sat in his truck outside his residence.
