Faustino Mancilla, a 24-year-old Hispanic/Latino man, was shot and killed on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, during a gathering at a residence in southwest Fresno. Officers were dispatched at about 6:45 p.m. to the area of Poppy and California avenues, where they found Mancilla suffering from a gunshot wound; despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
