Black / African American. Seventeen-year-old male Kahlif Norwood was shot and killed in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood on September 15, 2025. Around 12:20 a.m., the 17-year-old male stood in or near the alley off the 5000 block of North Winthrop Avenue when a group of eight males approached him. One person in the group opened fire, striking the 17-year-old male multiple times. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where the 17-year-old male was pronounced dead.
