Francisco Zamora Rodriguez was shot on the evening of March 31, 2021, in the 6000 block of South Artesian Avenue in Chicago's Chicago Lawn/Marquette Park neighborhood. According to police and local reporting, he was near a backyard when someone approached and fired, striking him in the head; he was rushed to Stroger Hospital in critical condition and died the next day, April 1. He was a Hispanic/Latino male, 42.
