Edward Muñoz, 51, a Latino man, was found shot to death on the morning of July 24, 2025, in Whittier, California. Officers responding around 11:05 a.m. to reports of gunfire discovered Edward Muñoz, 51, male, slumped in the driver’s seat of a beige Saturn stopped near Pickering Avenue and Penn Street, a short walk from St. Mary of the Assumption Elementary School; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
