Jaden Williams, a 26-year-old man from Ellenwood, Georgia, was fatally shot in an act of gun violence on a Saturday night in late August or early September of 2025. The incident, which was captured on surveillance video, occurred around 7 p.m. outside the Linecrest Food Mart on Linecrest Road in Ellenwood. At the time of the shooting, Williams was standing with several other people behind an SUV when an individual inside a passing car opened fire.
Following the shooting, the vehicle sped away, and the individuals who were with Williams also fled the scene, leaving him on the ground. His mother, Stephanie Williams, later expressed her profound grief and disbelief over her son's death and the fact that he was left alone after being shot. The family described Jaden as a loving father to a young daughter and a person with a big heart who enjoyed bringing people together. In the midst of their tragedy, the family found some solace in the fact that Jaden was an organ donor, and his organs were able to help eight other people.
The DeKalb County Police are investigating the homicide. Authorities have asked for the public's help and are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. As of now, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests made in the case, nor have any suspects been officially named. The family continues to seek answers and justice for the death of Jaden Williams.
