On August 3, 2025, Adam Santiago, 21, a male of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity from Stockton, California, was shot shortly after 9 p.m. in the 8600 block of Santa Paula Way, a residential street near Kennedy Elementary School. First responders found him with a gunshot wound; he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to local news reports and the county medical examiner's identification.
